BEYOND OUR GREATEST ESTEEMED EARTHBOUND ENVISONS
"That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world."
Ephesians 2:12 (KJV)
He could not have possibly known what had wonderfully emerged as an absolutely, astonishing, and inconceivably incredible outcome. Then again, how could he? Just a few moments before he had been completely, spiritually blind and totally oblivious to the sure realities of such “other worldly” possibilities.
But hold on. Let us not race that far and get ahead of ourselves.
That climatic moment would transpire toward the end of this wonderful inspirational life episode regarding this clearly unlikely, obscure person that would mercifully become the recipient of the unmerited greater blessing of divine grace.
At the outset (both for him and us) things were very, very different. Deliberately, the account showcases His sphere of life at a distant location, and amid the simple life setting where this pending drama all begin. And, as we (humanity) are quite commonly familiar with, we too observe that this ordeal began with the emergence of awareness of a life-crisis.
No. He was not a uniquely special individual with hidden superior mystical endowments. He was just a man (verily, human) just like us, with earthbound aspirations.
Interestingly, this dramatic ordeal began during a seemingly common conversation where Naaman’s heart focus became solely affixed on deeply considering his troubling future path destiny; given the indisputable reality that despite the grand measure of his acclaimed earthly achievements, he was still forebodingly, a “leper;” whose ultimate terminal condition could only be remedied by a supernatural sovereign grant; which is only bestowed upon that soul that becomes Heaven’s focus candidate for the merciful bestowal of “the greatest blessing of divine grace.”
